For the Checking of the students capacity the Anna University has conducting cycle test, model exams for 50 or 100 Marks in many colleges. Which would give them a marks out of 20. In Anna University semester exam these 20 marks are adjusted by reducing the marks obtaining by the students out of 100 to 80 marks, balance 20 Marks is substitued by obtaining marks out of 20.

Anna University has also insisted the colleges to maintain attendance record on hourly basis and entry should be made on the portal on hourly basis for all subjects. (including practicals). It is mandatory that, in order to attend the university exam, students should maintain 75% attendance overall.
